Pasta with Ham and Cheese - ★Cooking Recipes★

Directions for: Pasta with Ham and Cheese

Ingredients

1 lb(s) (454 g) macaroni elbows or other short pasta varieties

2 Tbsp (30 mL) butter

4 sticks celery, sliced

1 leek (white and tender green parts), cut in 4, sliced

lb(s) (225 g) old-fashioned smoked ham cut into small cubes

1 cup (250 mL) IGO Greko Plain

2 Tbsp (30 mL) Dijon mustard

3 oz (100 g) milk, medium or aged cheddar cheese, grated

3 oz (100 g) provolone or mozzarella cheese, grated

cup (80 mL) Italian parsley, coarsely chopped

salt and freshly ground pepper

Directions

1. In a large saucepan of salted water, cook the pasta as per package instructions.

2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat the butter over medium heat and sauted the celery and leek for approximately 5 minutes. Mix well and season to taste. Add the ham and continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Drain the pasta and return to the saucepan, add the yogurt, mustard vegetables, ham and the cheese. Stir over low heat until the cheese is properly melted and the pasta is hot. Add the parsley, correct the seasoning and serve immediately.
