New Recipes Sparkling Limeade - ★Cooking Recipes★

Fresh lime juice, sparkling water, and plums come together in a refreshing drink from Roger Mooking.
Directions for: Sparkling Limeade

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

4 sprig sprigs of mint and 4 mint leaves for garnish

peel of 1 lime

5 lime leaves, broken by hand

2 ripe plums, peeled, cored and roughly chopped

1 tsp salt

8 ice cubes

5 limes, juiced

4 cup cold sparkling water

Directions

1. Place water and sugar in a small pot, bring to a boil and remove from heat.

2. Place mint sprigs, lime peel and lime leaves in pot, allow to infuse for 30 minutes.

3. Strain lime and mint simple syrup and place in fridge to cool.

4. Place plums and salt in a mortar and pestle, mash until roughly pureed.

5. Divide plum mixture, reserved mint leaves and ice cubes into 4 tall glasses.

6. In a large measuring cup or pitcher, place lime juice, sparkling water and lime and mint simple syrup.

7. Mix well and pour into glasses.
