Hawaiian Pizza - ★Cooking Recipes★

Hawaiian pizza may sound (and taste) exotic, but its actually an Ontario creation. That said, we wont hold it against you if your mind drifts to the tropics while chowing down on a pineapple laden slice. Unlike other pies, the Hawaiian delivers big on the salty-sweet flavours so many of us crave; making it no surprise this small town favourite is now a global star.

Directions for: Hawaiian Pizza

Ingredients

1 (500 g) package pizza dough

cup tomato sauce

1 cups grated mozzarella

150 g pineapple, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices

60 g sliced ham, cut into 1 1/2-inch pices

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 450F.

2. Dust a 15-inch pizza pan with cornmeal.

3. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll dough into a 14-inch circle. Transfer to pan.

4. Add sauce in one even layer. Sprinkle with cheese. Top with pineapple and ham.

5. Bake in centre of oven until crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
