New Recipes Birch Syrup Salad Dressing - ★Cooking Recipes★

This easy dressing just tastes like Canada. Birch syrup is produced exactly like maple syrup but has a bolder flavour; it gives this salad dressing a hint of caramel and molasses. Birch syrup is produced in Ontario, Manitoba and partsof Quebec. You can find birch syrup at boutique, speciality or higher-end grocery stores, or you can contact the supplier directly.
Directions for: Birch Syrup Salad Dressing

Ingredients

1 Tbsp canola oil (use cold pressed for an even bigger flavour spin)

1 Tbsp birch syrup

1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 Tbsp minced shallots

Directions

1. Whisk together the oil, birch syrup, vinegar and mustard in a small bowl. Stir in shallots. Store dressing in fridge for 4 to 7 days.

Tips and Substitutions

Makes 1/4 cup (60 mL). One serving = 1 Tbsp (15 mL)
