The Corn Dog Rib - ★Cooking Recipes★

Delicious ribs get wrapped in cheese and turkey before being breaded and deep-fried to golden greatness.
Directions for: The Corn Dog Rib

Ingredients

5 cups cooking oil, for frying

1 rack pork ribs, precooked

9 slices Swiss cheese

9 slices turkey

1 cups flour

cup cornmeal

2 Tbsp sugar

1 tsp baking powder

cup milk

1 egg

Hot sauce, for garnish

Parsley, for garnish

Directions

1. Preheat the oil in a large pot to 425F (220C). Preheat oven to 425F.

2. Cut the precooked ribs into one bone pieces. Wrap a slice of cheese and then a slice of turkey around each rib, using a toothpick to secure. Put them in the fridge to let them set.

3. In a bowl mix together flour, cornmeal, sugar, and baking powder. Whisk is the milk and egg until smooth.

4. Dip the wrapped ribs into the batter, covering all the meat. Leave and inch of the bone with no batter. Carefully dip the rib into the oil a little bit at a time, this allows the batter to harden and not to stick to the bottom of the pot. Remove the rib onto a wire rack once golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Repeat until all ribs are deep-fried.

5. Place the wire rack onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Add a swirl of hot sauce to the serving plate, plate ribs and garnish with parsley.
